Play the long game. The Yew’s longevity and ability to resurrect itself is a signal to slow down, let time take its course and ride out the waves. This ancient tree has observed and survived difficult times, slowly dying and regenerating itself from the inside out. Its branches reaching out and forming new trunks, all growing together to strengthen and support the gnarled and ancient parent tree. The Yew comes to remind you that you too can survive through tough phases, forming new ways to be stronger and fiercer.

Do not discount your inner strength; it exists in everyone. There will be many changes through the cycles of your life. Challenges in relationships while you flourish at work; hard times with children while in loving relationships; frustrations with finances while feeling wealthy in other ways. Remember everything is a phase and in the long term you will survive to be stronger than ever. Endure and move through. Like the yew, reinforce and heal the parts of yourself that you can, and allow other aspects to die away as is necessary. In order to thrive, you need to slowly move forward, adapting and transforming as best you can, while still holding strong to who you are at heart.
