These wheel thrown carved forms draw their inspiration from the standing stones of the Neolithic era. A gentle, grounding piece to bring a sense of calm to your home.
Throughout the world standing stones can be found, their surfaces the raw rock or etched with carvings. Their meaning and placement cannot be explained for certain but there are many common patterns that can be found. They have found evidence that many stone circles were erected with cosmic influences: that is, they were placed specifically to better see the Sun, the Moon and the stars. The stone placement showcased specific cycles of the Sun and Moon, which in turn connected the creators to the cyclic patterns of nature. A place to celebrate and stay connected to ancestors and those that came before.
Creating a sense of calm, order and control where chaos seemingly reigns.
