Poppy Seed Head Cup and Saucer
I’ve always been drawn to poppy seed heads. To me the magic of the poppy does not lie in the papery vibrant flowers, but the woody intricate chamber that contains the seeds.
The Poppy Seed head collection is totally quirky and has a real "Alice in Wonderland" vibe with its gorgeous carvings and fancy curved handle ... take yourself on a journey to another land whilst enjoying a quiet moment filling your own cup whilst enjoying a tea, coffee or drink from your Poppy Seed Head Cup and perhaps a treat on your plate that has also been intricately carved.

All items are handmade with love over a number of weeks and fired in my studio in Thornlands in South East Queensland. The clay does not like to be rushed and needs time to dry slowly as each step in the making process is completed. I love to wheel thrown and also to hand build, so often use a combination of techniques. The glazes I made are all hand made using tried and tested recipes, as well as my own recipes I have created to get the colours and textures I desired. The majority of finishes I use have a number of glazes layered over each other to create a unique, one off original finish.
Food safe. Dishwasher safe but hand wash recommended.
All items are carefully wrapped and box packed for posting. I use a mix of bubble wrap and environmentally friendly recycled tissue and shredded paper to ensure your order reached you safely vis Sendle couriers
