Collection: Enchanted Mugs

Elevate your rituals with your own unique hand created mug. These mugs bring a little magic to you, featuring spirit animals, symbols and meaning to help connect and ground you as you go about your day. 

These handmade pieces of functional ceramic art preserve the energy and spirit of the maker within each piece. The mugs in this collection have been created with a specific intention and meaning, many inspired by Carys’ “Whispers from the Woods” oracle deck and companion book. Each artwork features woodland characters such as birds, fairies and plants; each are unique in its design and a true one-off piece to be treasured forever. 

Honouring the mindfulness of the making process, these mugs are all hand painted and designed by Carys. Each design slowly comes to life as the layers of special ceramic underglazes are applied to the wheel thrown form. There are many different design techniques applied over the 3-4 weeks these cups take to create, and the final flourish is the details added in real gold which is set in a third firing.

These items are handmade at every stage in the making process and so each is unique. From creating the form, to hand making each batch of glaze, to hand carving and hand painting the designs, many variances are found at each stage of the process. Each piece is mindfully created in my studio over a number of weeks, with each finished piece having its own subtle differences. That is the beauty of handmade.
